After numerous video projects from clients from school, we (Mustachio Productions) finally took this day to shoot something for ourselves. We've had this really great (and highly confidential) concept for a video under our belts for some time now and I have to say, it feels so fucking good creating something original again.
Call time at our meeting place was at 7 a.m. but Rachel and I decided to wake up extra early so we could grab some breakfast before heading out to the location.
Actual conversation from last night: "We should leave the dorm at 6 a.m. then if you want to have breakfast..."
oops!
The sky was kind of gloomy though. And it didn't help either that I only got 4 hours of sleep from the previous night.
I took a shower, got dressed as fast as I could and went down in the lobby to wait for Rachel. I NEEDED BREAKFAST.
Manila morning!
She finally came and since there were no tricycles at such a god-forsaken hour, we had to walk all the way out of our campus...
...which was pretty far. I was not happy.
She picked up her brother's car across the street and we headed out to grab some breakfast
from Mcdonalds (obviously)
a quarter of the Mustachio team were already there!
breakfast of champions! I could eat hash browns all day long!
something about this picture is not right... TOO MANY HETEROSEXUAL THINGS GOING ON.
Saw another Mustachio in the parking lot on our way to the shoot!
Working with friends doesn't feel like work at all. :)
sup bitch.
We arrived at the location two hours behind schedule. It was 8 in the fucking morning--college students don't get up that early on holidays!
We use an old wheelchair for our dolly. Anyone willing to donate? :(
Snacks! You can never go wrong with anything-filled donut holes.
By lunch time, we were already pooped...
and hungry. hooray for cheap, unhealthy Asian food from around the corner!
Abby and Patis- our art manager and director for the day!
If you've noticed, I haven't really posted anything about the actual shoot... we want to keep it a bit hush hush for now. :)
although we did collaborate with these two amazing people! Amazing is an understatement, actually-- just wait until you see the final product!
We ended at 4 p.m... which was weird since we expected to end around 6. Hooray for efficiency!
I'm pretty sure a good hour was spent on acting retarded and 'drifting' around on the wheelchair though.
In the car, Patis and I took advantage of the delicious afternoon light.
C-A-P-S-I-Z-E all the way hoooome!
Tomorrow's the start of another week. We're extremely busy juggling our academics, video projects and social life (or lack of it, rather) but no matter how exhausted we get, creating stories with great friends is something we've realized to be pretty damn fulfilling.
Also, Mustachio Productions' facebook page just hit 202! We are extremely grateful and happy.
